Geological investigations for the DPR completed and DPR submitted on 30.06.11. Additional investigations are in progress as under:
Drilling:
Dam site D7 axis : 643.87m completed.All 14 holes completed.
Surge shaft(as per D7 axis) : 177 m. Work completed.
D3 axis: 992.65 completed.All 18 holes completed.
Surge shaft(as per D3 axis) : 155.20 m. Work completed.
Power House(as per D3 axis):325.55m completed. Work completed.
Total
Drilling completed : 2294.17 mtr. Drifting:
Dam Site Drift (D3 Axis): Total drift work(188.6m) completed.
Dam site Drift (D7 Axis):
Total drift work (140mtr.) completed.
Power House Drift:-
Out of 590 m, 473m has been completed. 256m has been completed with new location starting at RD 238.00 m from the existing drift as per CWC observations.
Total Drift Completed: 1057.60 m out of 1000m.
Presentation has been made to CEA on 29.07.11.TEC awaited.

EIA & EMP studies |
The final report was forwarded to RGoB on 31.10.11. The deptt of Hydropower & Power system informed that presentation on draft EIA/EMP report is scheduled to be given to National Environment Committee in thimpu on 10.05.12. |

Submission of application to MOEF, Govt of Bhutan for PEC if required. |
The Forest deptt. accorded approval for carrying out topographical survey works on 23.06.09. Forest clearance for drilling and drifting obtained on 11.12.09 after necessary environmental clearance from Dzongkhag Administration.
Work for carrying out Survey Work and Design of Project Roads to various project components was awarded to M/s Progressive Research and Consultancy Service on 28.12.11. Field survey of Adit-6,5,4,3 , Adit -6 to Surge Shaft & Adits of Pressure Shafts road has been completed and for road Adit-2 is under progress. |

Gauge & Discharge sites and meteorogical data generation |
Work for procurement of additional two numbers Automatic Weather Station for KHEP was awarded to M/s Karma Medical & Equipments on 29.12.11 but the supplier had not supplied material yet .
Work for Establishment of permanent Gauge and Discharge site alongwith Civil Works by Installing & Commissioning Cable Way across the river Kholongchhu in Bhutan was awarded to M/s R.K. Engineering Corporation on 28.01.12 . G&D site (Rope way type) established on 30.04.12.. Work regarding Procurement of Two digital water level recorder was awarded to R K Engineering Corp Roorkee on 07.02.12. Material received on 21.03.12 and erection work is in progress.
