Shri Raman Gharsangi [DIN: 12003368] was appointed as Part-Time Official Director (GoHP Nominee) by Ministry of Power on the Board of SJVN Limited on 12.10.2026 (effective 14.10.2026 being the date of DIN allotment).

Shri Gharsangi is an officer of the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS), 2017 batch, and is currently serving as Joint Secretary (MPP & Power), Government of Himachal Pradesh.

He graduated from Government Post Graduate Degree College (GPGDC), Kullu. He holds a postgraduate degree and an M.Phil. in English Literature from Panjab University, Chandigarh.

During his administrative career, Shri Gharsangi has served in various capacities across the Government of Himachal Pradesh, gaining experience in public administration, revenue, personnel management, transport administration, tourism, urban development and district administration. His key assignments have included Assistant Settlement Officer, Shimla; Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Mandi; Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Manali and Pangi; Joint Director, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (ABVIMAS); Assistant Commissioner to Deputy Commissioner, Hamirpur; and General Manager (Personnel), Smart City, Dharamshala.

Through these assignments, he has gained diverse administrative experience in government operations, regulatory administration, personnel management, institutional coordination and public service delivery.
